I've been a fan of the Netflix series "Stranger Things" and I told myself, "What would be an Ayitian Creole version of it?" The term "Bagay Dwol" came shining bright in my mind. "Bagay" meaning "Thing or Things", and "Dwol" can mean "Funny", "Bizarre", or Strange. "Bagay Dwol" can be used to answer a greeting. For example, the most common greeting in Ayitian Creole is "Sak Passé?" or "Sak Ap Fèt?". It can be translated as "how are you?" However, it literally means "What's happening?". The most common answer is "Map Boulé" or "Nap Boulé" which means "I'm burning" or "Were Burning". We also have "En fom", meaning "In shape". "Bagay Dwol" is therefore an alternative answer to "Sak Passé".
